Big Basin Way

Big Basin Way (Hwy 236) gets you into the Big Basin State Park. I mapped it from Waterman Gap to the corner of Jamison Creek. It's about 22 km long and you do some moderate climbing. The scenery is great - you pass through the center of Big Basin State Park with the giant redwoods. In the off-season it's a quiet road, in the summer you need to watch for the tourists.

Big Basin Way connects Hwy 9 with Jamison Creek Rd and presents a longer but less steep alternative to China Grade.
