White Mountain Rd

White Mountain Rd starts a Hwy 168 and ends at the Ancient Bristlecone Forest. The whole road is about 20 km long, but most of the climbing you do in the 10 km middle section where you gain about 800 m. This means here you have an average grade of 8%. The maximum grade is 15%.

White Mountain Rd is the last climb of stage 2 of the Everest Challenge, the 2-stage California-Nevada State Climbing Championship.

I didn't ride this road yet. Stay tuned for a description and photos. There's a map and a profile though.

The Bristlecones in the White Mountains are the oldest living things on earth. The oldest trees have an age of more than 4000 years.
